1. Introduction

Our website, https://eliteprofit.fr (hereinafter: “the website”) uses cookies and other related technologies (for simplicity, all these technologies are referred to as “cookies”). Cookies are also placed by third parties we have engaged. In the document below, we inform you about the use of cookies on our website.

2. What are cookies?

A cookie is a small, simple file sent with the pages of this website and stored by your browser on the hard drive of your computer or another device. The information stored in it may be returned to our servers or to the servers of the relevant third parties during a subsequent visit.

3. What are scripts?

A script is a piece of code used to make our website function correctly and interactively. This code is executed on our server or on your device.

4. What is a web beacon?

A web beacon (or pixel tag) is a small piece of text or an invisible image on a website, used to track traffic on a website. To do so, various data about you is stored using web beacons.

5. Cookies

5.1 Technical or functional cookies

Some cookies ensure that certain parts of the website work correctly and that your preferences as a user are remembered. They store, for example, your display language and your cookie choices, or allow the contact form to guard against automated submissions. We may place these cookies without your consent.

5.2 Statistics cookies

We use statistics cookies to optimise the experience of users on our website. With these statistics cookies, we obtain information about the use of our website. We ask your permission to place statistics cookies.

5.3 Marketing/tracking cookies

Marketing/tracking cookies are cookies or any other form of local storage, used to create user profiles in order to display advertising or to track the user on this website or across several websites for similar marketing purposes.

5.4 Social media and embedded videos

Our website contains no share buttons. The links to our accounts in the footer are plain links: they place no cookies unless you follow them.

Two blog articles embed a YouTube video. We use YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com) for this: no tracking cookie is placed unless you start playback. Displaying the page nevertheless sends a request to Google’s servers, which receive your IP address in the process. If you play the video, YouTube places its own cookies, over which we have no control; please refer to Google’s privacy policy.

We do, however, use the Meta Pixel, an invisible tag provided by Facebook (Meta) that measures the effectiveness of our advertising. It falls under the marketing category and is only loaded if you accept it: until you consent, the script is not downloaded at all.

Please read Meta’s privacy statement (which may change regularly) to find out what they do with your data. Meta is located in the United States.

Web fonts and the cookie-management script were previously loaded from third-party servers (Google Fonts, jsDelivr). They are now hosted on our own server: no data, not even your IP address, is sent to those services.

When you visit our website for the first time, a window presents the cookies we use. You can choose “Accept all”, “Reject all”, or “Manage preferences” to select category by category. Your choice authorises us to use the categories you retained, as described in this policy.

Until you answer, no analytics or marketing cookie is placed and the corresponding scripts are not loaded. You can change your mind at any time; rejecting a category also deletes the cookies already placed under it.
